dc.description.abstract The COVID-19 pandemic has presented unprecedented challenges for governments worldwide, particularly in the enforcement of lockdown measures to control the virus's spread. The manual checking of identification and other documents for travel during lockdowns is slow, labour-intensive, and raises privacy and data protection concerns. Despite the significant effort invested in the development of digital COVID-19 passes, there has been limited attention paid to addressing the related security and privacy concerns. In response to these challenges, the Digital Pass Generator and Authenticator have been developed as comprehensive and innovative solutions. The platform streamlines the process of obtaining and verifying lockdown travel passes by allowing individuals to sign up for an account and request a pass from relevant authorities. The platform integrates with regulatory systems, allowing authorities to review and approve pass requests easily. Passes are issued as secure and unique QR codes, which can be easily scanned using the mobile application for verification by authorities. In addition to making the process of obtaining and verifying passes more efficient and convenient, the platform eliminates the need for physical contact, reducing the transmission risk of the virus. It also minimizes enforcement agencies' workload and ensures the safety of both individuals and authorities. The Digital Pass Generator and Authenticator provide a convenient and safe way to enforce lockdown measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. It streamlines the pass obtaining and verifying process, reduces transmission risk, and minimizes enforcement agencies' workload, making it an essential tool in controlling the virus's spread. The platform exemplifies how technology can be leveraged to solve complex challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. en_US
