dc.description.abstract Contemporary organizations follow human resource management strategies to achieve organizational goals by utilizing financial, material, and human resources. Organizational goals could be achieved only by effectively managing its employees as they are the core of organizations. The research problem of this study is to investigate whether Buddhist monastic community management strategies could be used to manage employees. The objective of this study is to apply Buddhist monastic institutional management strategies to the contemporary business world for its betterment. The approaches that the Buddha used to manage the saṅgha community can be summarized into several principles such as equality in Buddhist teaching, decentralized leadership characteristics, mutual understanding and shared responsibilities, well-managed interaction among the monastic community, democracy, well-developed communication, and mutual respect. en_US
