dc.description.abstract We present the design and development of a sensor unit for the acquisition of electromyography (EMG) signals in human walking. This is done by placing multiple sensors in the muscles involved in the knee and ankle movement of a human leg when walking. The electrical output of the sensors is amplified, filtered and smoothed with a designed cascaded electronic circuit. The angle of the knee and ankle movement when walking is monitored by the sensor unit. en_US
