Abstract:
“Seed priming” is a pre-sowing strategy which modulate metabolic activities before
radicle emergence by partial hydration of seeds (Rouhi et al. 2011) in materials
use for priming followed by drying of seeds (Eskandari and Kazemi 2011). Rapid
germination, boosting plant growth, raising the efficiency of nutrients and water
usage, suppression of weeds (Raj and Raj 2019) and overall elevation of the seed
performance are key accelerations due to seed priming. Seed priming guarantee the
uniformity and better establishment which make ease of management practices of
crop, ensure yield in diverse climatic conditions help to prevail dormancy (Choud
