dc.description.abstract Automatic caller identification has become a challenging research problem due to its wide variety of applications. This study used formant analysis of Sinhala vowel sounds to identify caller’s age, mainly ranging from16 to 27 years. Participants were separated into male and female classifications so that each age range, 16 – 18, 19 – 20, 21 – 22, and 23 – 27, comprised of 15 males and 15 females from a sample of 360 individuals. en_US
