Gunawardhana, M.P.S.K.
Sustainable Human Resource Management (SHRM) is a forward-thinking approach
that integrates environmental, social and economic considerations into human resource
practises, ensuring long-term viability and positive impact on organisations and
the wider community. By aligning HR strategies with sustainability goals, organisations
contribute to broader environmental and social goals, not just the immediate needs of
their workforce. For example, sustainable HRM involves implementing practises such
as green training programmes, educating employees about environmental stewardship,
and encouraging environmentally friendly behaviours in the workplace. Additionally,
it fosters a culture of diversity and inclusion, promotes fair treatment and equal
opportunities for all employees, thereby enhancing overall organisational resilience
and reputation. Sustainable HRM emphasises ethical labour practises and supports
employee well-being through initiatives that balance work-life harmony and provide
opportunities for personal and professional growth. Through these efforts, sustainable
HRM helps organisations reduce their carbon footprint, improve employee satisfaction
and retention, and create positive social impact, ultimately leading to long-term success
and sustainability in a rapidly changing world.

The term “workplace flexibility” is an employee’s
freedom to choose where, when, and how to work.
Examples include options such as job sharing,
telecommuting, flexible working hours, and other work arrangements that facilitate a
good balance between work and life.
Workplace flexibility benefits employees and businesses by promoting better work-life
balance, reduced stress, and higher job satisfaction for employees while improving
productivity, retention, and engagement for organisations. It also helps attract top talent,
optimise resources, and adapt to market changes, making it essential for modern
HR strategies to foster an inclusive and healthy work environment.
According to “European Management Review” (Paradigms of Flexibility: A Systematic
Review of Research on Workplace Flexibility) distinguishes four types of flexibility.

Human Resources and Ethics.
Surendra, B.R.V.
Human resources in the work environment
and ethics are valuable
concepts that have a unique relationship.
Simply this is the responsibility
of any company and organisation. Human
resources is the strength, skills, and experience
of the employees working in the
organisation who work effectively for the
organisation’s operations and efficiency.
Human resources can be likened to a truly
valuable resource as well as a unique
storehouse. Such valuable resources include
recruitment, training, performance
management, employee relations, compensation,
and Benefits. Human resources
play a unique role in a positive work environment.
In the culture and environment
around us, ethics is a set of principles that
guide everyone in the organisation to decide
right and wrong. Ethical principles,
standards, and norms are created and
this is simply for the purposes and goals
of the organisation norms are systematically
created in that environment by top
management (Christopher et al., 2012).
Ethics is a common and important element
to have in any environment, be it
traditional or technical. Organisations are changing with time and are not limited to
just one frame that should move forward
but between that framework and the outside
world, ethics is something that must
exist, while also imagining a deeper analysis.

Diversity, Equity, and Dignity at Work.

Diversity, Equity, and Dignity at Work.
Niwandhi, R.M.L.W. E.
Diversity, equity, and dignity are
the three elements that must
be protected in the workplace
in the increasingly cross-border business
world.
In order for a vehicle to run properly, all
its components must actively contribute.
Also, in order for a business to achieve
success, all employees must actively
contribute. The employee works with
motivation i.e. willingly only when all three
aspects of diversity, equity, and dignity
are balanced. This article highlights the
importance of properly managing diversity,
equality, and dignity in the workplace
and examines its benefits.
In any country as well as in any institution,
there are people of different races, different
religions, men and women, belonging
to different cultures, people of different
ages and people with different disabilities.
These differences that you and I know are
simply called diversity. In order to run a
business in a successful way, creativity presentation of new products and loyalty
of employees for the organisation is also
a prominent feature. If a top manager or
managers of an organisation understand
this diversity together, employee loyalty
and success are inevitable.
