Understanding the Factors Influencing E-Government Adoption in Sri Lanka: An Integrated Model of UMEGA and Extended UTAUT2.
Abeykoon, B.B.D.S.; Sirisena, A.B.
The effective adoption of electronic government (e-government) services is
crucial for enhancing public services, particularly in developing countries like Sri
Lanka. Understanding the drivers that lead citizens to use and recommend egovernment
services is essential for ensuring long-term engagement and
diffusion. However, despite the significant investments in digital infrastructure,
Sri Lanka continues to experience low adoption rates in the context of egovernment.
The present study investigates the key factors influencing the
adoption of e-government services among Sri Lankan citizens using an extended
theoretical framework, which was developed by integrating the Unified Model of
E-Government Adoption (UMEGA) and the extended Unified Theory of
Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2). The proposed model
encompasses context factors: performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social
influence, perceived risk, user factors: price value, facilitating conditions,
hedonic motivation, habit, personal innovativeness in IT, trust in government, and
system factors: perceived information quality, perceived system quality, perceived
service quality. The study collected data from 100 respondents using a structured
questionnaire, employing the convenience sampling technique. The model
explained 42% of the variance in attitude, 59% in use behaviour, and 57% in
intention to recommend. All the context factors significantly affected attitude,
while price value, habit, facilitating conditions, and perceived service quality
impacted use behaviour. Trust in government directly impacts on the
recommendation intention of e-government services. The model disclosed
acceptable model fit (SRMR = 0.057) and moderate predictive relevance (Q² =
0.44 for intention to recommend). The findings underscore the critical importance
of system improvement, trust-building, and user engagement strategies to
enhance peer-driven recommendation of e-government services. These strategies
are essential in the Sri Lankan context to drive adoption and sustained use of
governmental digital services.

Abeykoon, B.B.D.S.; Kumar, P.
The study of military history and the evolution of warfare spans over two millennia, yet significant gaps persist in comprehensively understanding its scholarly landscape. This study addresses these gaps by employing bibliometric analysis to systematically examine
538 journal articles published across 348 journals in the Scopus database between 2000 and 2022. Utilizing performance analysis and science mapping techniques, with tools such as VOSviewer, the study evaluates the contributions of 840 authors, key publication sources, and influential nations in this domain. The findings reveal trends and research clusters, highlighting areas of dynamic scholarly growth and identifying under-researched topics, including post-war impacts, imperialism, and military technology. These insights underline the need for deeper investigations into critical themes such as human experimentation, military sexual trauma, and simulation. By advancing bibliometric methodologies, this study provides a structured framework for future research in military history, fostering interdisciplinary exploration and practical applications.

Abeykoon, B.B.D.S.; Kumar, P.
The global military establishment witnesses
significant transformations and utilizing
technological developments to enhance
capabilities. Investing in and mastering military
technology is crucial for protecting national
interests and preserving strategic relevance on
the international scene in an era of constantly
changing threats. Thus, a comprehensive
portrayal of this field is needed. But it is lacking
from rigorous studies leveraging bibliometric
techniques. To fill the gap, this research study
used bibliometric techniques to examine 494
journal articles in the Scopus database published
in 342 journals. The articles were authored by
780 authors and show a dynamic growth of the
topic for the period. The methodology is based
on performance analysis technique and science
mapping technique in bibliometric analysis. The results explore the contribution to
the domain in terms of authors, sources,
and countries, and provide research areas
need more attention which drives military
technology. It is therefore imperative that many
researches have been on topics such as artificial
intelligence, drones, automation, technology
adoption, unmanned aerial vehicles, robotics,
technology forecasts, technology transfer etc.
Also, the military technology researches should
be advanced and aligned in future with areas
such as environment protection, sustainable
development, budget control, economics,
environment, behavior, etc.
