dc.description.abstract Edible mushroom cultivation is a profitable cottage industry in which oyster mushroom occupies a prominent place in Sri Lanka. Commercial cultivators in the country face numerous problems in its cultivation. Inefficient spawns and substrates, pest and disease problems and post harvest losses perhaps the primary problems experienced by them. This review summarizes the findings of research carried out in Sri Lanka to address these problems that would mitigate the limitation in mushroom cultivation to maximize yield and optimize return. en_US
