dc.description.abstract Leaf galls produced by psy I lids and mites cause considerable damage to the Cinnamon crop in Sri Lanka. Trioza sp. (Homoplera, Psyllidae, Triozidac) and mites of genus Eriophyes (Acarina, Lriophydae) are the most important gall inducing organisms found in the Southern coastal area of the island. The identification of the insect, the patterns of distribution of the two types of pests and the structural differences of the two types of galls of the pests arc studied in this project. en_US
