dc.description.abstract In the current context of education, the provision of education through online media is not a new concept. As online education teaching context which is identified as the challenge for existing conceptions about the teaching role, researchers intend to take a closer look at the effectiveness of this education context. The ability of a teacher to better guide, facilitate and support students in certain academic pursuits, such as achievement and satisfaction, has believed by many scholars as the effectiveness of teaching. Tertiary vocational education and training (TVET) sector is understood to be fundamentally different from other post-secondary teaching contexts, since it governed by principles of student competence and considered as a teacher-centered pedagogy. The main objective of this study was to investigate relationship between selected dimensions (technological skills of the teacher, practical exposure to the students, students' interaction and communication barriers and attitude and motivation of the teacher) of teachers’ perception and the effectiveness of online teaching in TVET sector. One hundred structured questioners distributed among the population by using simple random sampling method. Correlation and regression analysis methods used for data analysis and the results indicate that practical exposure to the students has a negative relationship and other dimensions have positive relationship. Further technological skills of the teacher, students' interaction and communication barriers resulted as most influencing factors while attitude and motivation of the teacher also having a strong positive relationship. The study recommended that online education should promote in TVET sector systematically and methodically since currently it widely uses as an innovative method of teaching. The findings of this study would help the policy makers for improvement of Technical Education and Vocational Training system and deal with ongoing challenges. en_US
