dc.description.abstract Dutch period in Sri Lanka can be identified as the remarkable period in Sri Lankan history. It added many features of socio- economic, cultural and religious to the Sri Lankan society. Dutch Reformed Churches were established in the coastal area of the Island for, spreading the religion by Dutch authority. Dutch reformed church in Kalpitiya is one of Dutch Reformed Church which indicates the Dutch architectural features well. This study is focused to examine the archaeological and architectural values of the Dutch Reformed Church in Kalpitiya. This discussion explores the importance of the Dutch architecture and the interference of the Dutch churches architecture to the Sri Lankan history. When today, the condition of the church and how does it conserve the future is discussed in this study. Finally, proposed conservation plan for the Dutch Reformed Church in Kalipitiya is suggested in this pape en_US
