Abstract:
Pearsom product moment correlation coefficient (r) was employed to ascertain the relationships between
certain independent variables and three categories of information sources, namely, personal localite,
personal cosmopolite and mass media sources. The results indicate that social participation, leadership,
estimated annual income, farm income, yield, age, aspiration, knowledge and attitude are significantly
related to one or more of the information sources. Additionally, radio, family members, village extension
agents and direct observations constituted the major sources of information which were ranked first,
second, third and fourth, respectively.
