dc.description.abstract |
The purpose of this research was to examine how leadership styles impact on employee performance in apparel sector organizations of the Western province in Sri Lanka. There are three main variables in conceptual framework. The independent variables are autocratic leadership, democratic leadership style and laissez-faire leadership style and the dependent variable is individual employee performance. A sample of 101 respondents was randomly selected from EAM Maliban Textiles (Pvt) Ltd in western province of Sri Lanka. Responses followed the five-point Likert scale in measuring study variable. The data analysis was conducted by using Statistical package for social sciences (SPSS 21.0) by using statistical techniques such as Cronbach alpha, mean, mode, variance, standard deviation, correlation, and regression analysis. The finding revealed that autocratic leadership and laissez faire leadership negatively impacted on the employee performance while. democratic leadership style showed a positive impact on employee performance. |
