Abstract:
Employees are the human capital which contributes to the success and development of an organization to a great extent. These days, organizations do not see them only as factors of production from the classical perspective, but have started to value them as stakeholders and partners. This study carried out to examine the impact of work stress on employees’ performance of WNS Global Services (Pvt) Ltd. Core purpose of the study is to explore the relationship between work stress and employees' job performance in the context of stress caused by following environmental factors: nature of the job, work relationships, organization role and career development.
By using a questionnaires survey, data were collected from 40 numbers of Finance and Accounting (Associate Level) employees in WNS Global Services (Pvt) Ltd. Both bivariate and multivariate Analyses were used to analyze the data. Due to the findings, 43% of the variation in work performance is explained by work stress. Regression coefficients of work relationships and career development are statistically significant and, nature of the job and organizational role are statistically insignificant. All coefficients are negative. The highest magnitude represents in work relationships. It indicates that there is the highest negative relationship between job performance and stress caused by work relationships.
